Phase 1
Demographic: Outreach to students in grades 6th to 12th
Goal: Students will be given workshops that motivate & push them into higher learning/education opportunities.
How: Workshops will be conducted in all elementary/middle/highschool programs that include, academic success, Self-esteem building, Social Media dos & donts, Introduction 101, Bullying, Executing beyond your circle, Oh How I love Me!, etc.
Students will be enrolled into the College Dreamz program where they will receive a mentor that will motivate and teach them the opportunities that are provided through obtaining higher education degrees.
Each student will receive an online application that will trace their progress throughout their tenure with College Dreamz.
The online application will include Name, academics, core courses enrolled in, progress reports, report card, extracurricular activities, sports, and volunteerism.
Parent workshops that include family literacy, financial literacy, College readiness for your child, How to complete FAFSA, How to qualify for Student Loans, Parent Expectations
Based on parental needs, parents will be referred to a financial planner & literacy advisor. Parents will also be referred to a credit restoration specialist.
